The business sector of Chui region has identified growth points for the region's economy
A meeting of representatives from the business community with the authorized representative of the president of the region, Azamat Osmonov, took place in the Chui region, where opportunities for economic growth were discussed. Participants presented their ideas for the development of the agro-industrial complex, as well as investment and industrial infrastructure.
During the panel session, entrepreneurs addressed relevant issues concerning the socio-economic progress of the region and the interaction between business and government bodies.
The key report on the agro-industrial complex was delivered by Turatbek Ukubaev, General Director of Atalyk Group. He emphasized that support for processing, agriculture, and tourism is essential for the stable growth of the Chui region's economy. According to him, the main challenges include increased competition from neighbors, climate change, and the need for government support for local production.
Ukubaev stated that an important aspect is the open dialogue between business and government, especially in the development of industry strategies and improving the legislative framework. He highlighted several priority areas: the development of the agro-industrial complex using a cluster approach, cooperation among farmers, effective use of water resources, and the implementation of modern agricultural technologies.
Proposals for the digitalization of business interactions with government bodies, simplification of approval and registration procedures for agricultural facilities, as well as the development of dual education and a shift towards domestic procurement were also discussed.
Chyngyz Alkanov, owner of Alkanov Group, presented a report on the state of the investment climate and industrial infrastructure, drawing attention to the high costs for investors caused by the lack of ready engineering and utility infrastructure, such as substations and treatment facilities.
He proposed creating industrial and logistics clusters in the region with centralized provision of necessary infrastructure, which could reduce the financial burden on investors and increase the region's attractiveness for investments. The issue of changing land use designations was also raised, which needs to be simplified and accompanied by investor support based on a "single window" principle.
During the discussion, ideas for import substitution, creating conditions for the production of domestic materials for the agro-sector, developing sports and ecological tourism, as well as implementing joint ecological initiatives by businesses were also put forward.
As a result of the event, it was noted that all proposals made by entrepreneurs would be systematized and considered in further interactions between government bodies and the business community of the Chui region.
