In Kyrgyzstan, preparations for the spring fieldwork are actively underway. This year, special attention is being paid to the uninterrupted supply of water for irrigation. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry has initiated the process of cleaning canals across the country.
Special equipment is already being used in the Osh region, particularly in the Southern hydro section of the Kara-Suu district. A deep mechanical cleaning is being carried out on the "Eshme" distribution canal, aimed at increasing the channel's capacity and reducing losses in the supply of water for agricultural needs.
Minister Bakyt Töröbaev has set a clear task for water management organizations — to complete all preparatory work as soon as possible. By his directive, all irrigation networks in the country must be fully repaired and ready for use before the official irrigation season begins.
Control over the condition of hydraulic structures is being conducted in an intensified manner to avoid problems with the distribution of water resources, which occurred last year during the peak of the growing season.
