This decision was announced at a meeting of the Ministry of Finance

At the meeting of the board of the Ministry of Finance, the Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev announced plans to increase salaries for social sector workers in 2026. This statement was made in the context of discussing the department's performance results for 2025.

Kasymaliev noted that the growth in budget revenues provides the government with the opportunity to shift the focus from a social spending model to a development budget, while maintaining the level of social support for citizens.

“Our budget, which previously had a social character, has now become a development budget,” he said.

According to him, the increase in budget revenues will allow funds to be directed not only to large infrastructure projects but also to raise salaries for social sector workers.

In addition, the Prime Minister assigned a number of other tasks to the Ministry of Finance. He emphasized the need for effective and transparent spending of budget funds, especially in the area of public procurement, as well as the continuation of financing for road construction, affordable housing, and other large-scale projects.
