As a result of the transfer of the Kumtor deposit under state control from 2021 to 2025, substantial amounts were directed to the budget of Kyrgyzstan. This was stated by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
According to Kasymaliev, the production activities of Kumtor contributed approximately 5 billion 115 million US dollars to the budget (which is over 400 billion soms). Of this amount, about 1 billion 176 million dollars were taxes and other payments, and an additional approximately 441 million dollars were received in the form of dividends.
The head of the government emphasized that the revenues from Kumtor significantly strengthened the financial stability of the state.
