The economy of Kyrgyzstan has more than doubled in three years – government

The gross domestic product (GDP) growth exceeded 11% and ranked among the highest in the world.


At a meeting with the president of the country, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, announced the preliminary results of economic growth for 2025.

He noted that in 2024-2025, the country's economy demonstrated growth of over 11%. By the end of 2025, the gross domestic product amounted to 1 trillion 976.4 billion soms, and according to adjusted data, it may exceed 2 trillion soms. For comparison, in 2022, the GDP was 1 trillion 21 billion soms, indicating a twofold growth of the economy over three years.

In 2025, the real GDP growth rate was 11.1%, while the average annual growth rate over the past four years reached 10.2%. These figures, as emphasized by the Head of the Cabinet, are outstanding both regionally and globally.

All sectors of the economy contributed to this growth. The construction sector increased by 21.1%, services by 10.9%, agriculture by 2.2%, and industry by 10.7%. The volume of industrial production reached nearly 800 billion soms, with the highest growth rates recorded in the pharmaceutical and food industries, as well as in the production of building materials, automobiles, chemical products, and in the extraction of mineral resources.

Additionally, the volume of investments in fixed capital increased by 18.4% and reached a record 374.6 billion soms, which is 100 billion soms more than in 2024. Of this, 24% or 90.3 billion soms were financed from the republican budget.
