Mothers of multiple children in high-altitude regions will receive up to 2 million soms.
The "Bala Berekе" support will begin in 2026
Starting from January 1, 2026, a one-time assistance program called "Bala Berekе" will be implemented in Kyrgyzstan for mothers of large families living in hard-to-reach and mountainous areas. This was announced by Daiyrbek Orunbekov, head of the information policy department of the President's Administration.
As Orunbekov noted, this initiative aims to support the increase of the population and improve the living conditions of families in challenging climatic and geographical conditions. Payments will be made for children born starting from January 1, 2026, after they reach one year of age.
The amount of payments will depend on the number of children in the family: for the fourth child, 100,000 soms is allocated; for the fifth child, 600,000 soms; for the sixth, 800,000 soms; for the seventh, 1 million soms; for the eighth, 1.2 million soms; for the ninth, 1.5 million soms; and for the tenth and subsequent children, up to 2 million soms.
Only mothers of large families who are citizens of Kyrgyzstan or returnees, and who permanently reside in high-altitude and remote areas, are eligible for this assistance.
