The dynamics of car imports show an increase of 12% compared to 2024. Most new cars are produced in China, while used cars mainly come from Japan.
Over the year, 127.8 thousand Toyota vehicles were imported into the Russian market. Of these, 30.3 thousand vehicles belong to new models, which is 40% more compared to the previous year. The remaining 97.5 thousand vehicles are used, with a growth of 6% year-on-year.
More than 80% of all new cars were imported from China. However, among used cars, only 13.3% were assembled in the PRC, while 83.5% of the cars had Japanese origins.
Almost half of the new cars (49.8%) were imported through Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, 33.8% of the cars came directly from China. A small number of cars arrived from Japan, as well as through countries like Belarus and Georgia.
