Kyrgyzstan Elected Chairman of the SPECA Program for 2026
Kyrgyzstan has been elected as the chair of the SPECA Program for 2026, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy. This decision was made in Ashgabat during the SPECA week, which included the twentieth session of the Steering Committee and the second meeting of the SPECA Fund Steering Committee.
The chairmanship will provide Kyrgyzstan with new opportunities to strengthen its international image, promote national interests, and actively participate in the development of the SPECA Program.
A key outcome of these events was the adoption of documents necessary for the effective launch of the SPECA Fund. In the future, the Fund will implement projects, including those that will be carried out on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
For reference: The Steering Committee of the SPECA Program meets annually to determine strategic priorities, approve work plans, analyze reports, and make decisions regarding the work of thematic working groups.
