The Kyrgyz Republic has been elected as the chair of the SPECA program for 2026
On January 23 in Ashgabat, events were held as part of SPECA week, including the 20th session of the governing council and the second meeting of the governing committee of the program's fund. The press service of the Ministry of Economy reported that during these meetings, the Kyrgyz Republic was elected to the position of chair of the SPECA program for 2026.

This chairmanship will provide the country with new opportunities to strengthen its international image and promote national interests, as well as allow for active participation in the development of the SPECA program.
One of the significant outcomes of these events was the adoption of necessary documents that will enable the launch of the SPECA fund's activities. Within the framework of its work, various projects are planned to be implemented on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The governing council of the SPECA program meets every year and provides overall guidance for the program, including establishing strategic priorities, approving work plans, analyzing reports, and making decisions on issues related to the work of thematic working groups.
