A significant contribution to GDP formation was made by net taxes on products (+12.1%).
Prices for Goods and Services
The rise in prices for services and goods became one of the main issues causing concern among citizens in 2025. From January to December 2025, consumer prices and tariffs increased by 9.4% compared to December 2024, as reported at a press conference in Bishkek by the chairman of the National Statistics Committee Baktybek Kudaybergenov earlier. At the same time, the average nominal salary in November 2025 amounted to 42,954 soms, increasing by 19.1% compared to the same period in 2024.
Despite the growth in nominal incomes, real purchasing power remains in question for many. For example, in Bishkek, the cost of one square meter of housing in residential buildings increased by 26.8%, while in Osh it rose by 37%. For those saving for their own housing, this is becoming an increasingly difficult task. An additional burden has been the increased electricity tariffs since May 1, when the cost of 1 kWh for most citizens rose from 1.11 to 1.37 soms, which is a 23.4% increase. This exceeds the growth rate of the average monthly salary and heavily impacts the wallets of low-income families.
Decline in Foreign Trade
According to the latest data, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover from January to November 2025 amounted to $14 billion 19.4 million, which is 12.2% less than in the same period of 2024.The decline in export volumes is mainly associated with a decrease in gold shipments by $1 billion 531.5 million.
Kyrgyzstan's mutual trade with EAEU countries amounted to $4.9 billion, increasing by 1.3%. The main trade volumes were with Russia (64.1%) and Kazakhstan (33.5%).
