The meeting, held on January 22 at the Ministry of Finance, brought together Deputy Minister of Finance U. Kalenderov and World Bank Procurement Regional Manager F. Goya.
During the discussion, the main focus was on modernizing the public procurement system, as well as measures aimed at increasing transparency, efficiency, and competitiveness of the procedures.
Kalenderov emphasized that the Ministry of Finance is actively working on improving procurement methodology, strengthening institutional capacities, and implementing digital tools to enhance the openness of processes.
Goya, in turn, highlighted Kyrgyzstan's achievements and expressed the World Bank's readiness to continue providing expert support, including assistance in implementing the activities outlined in the reform roadmap.
As a result of the negotiations, it was decided to continue joint work and information exchange to successfully advance reforms in the field of public procurement.
