The Cabinet and Investors Discussed the Implementation of Energy Projects in Kyrgyzstan
In Kyrgyzstan, a meeting was held dedicated to the implementation of investment agreements in the energy sector, chaired by Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The online meeting gathered more than 15 representatives from companies involved in construction, as well as those at the stage of starting work on the creation of solar, wind, and hydroelectric power stations, as well as thermal power plants in the republic.
The agenda included the issue of fulfilling 12 investment agreements related to the establishment of solar and wind power plants using renewable energy sources, with a total installed capacity of 5450 MW, which began to be implemented in 2023.
Three investment agreements aimed at constructing hydroelectric power stations with a capacity of 2239 MW and three agreements for thermal power plants with a total capacity of 2685 MW were also discussed.
Entrepreneurs and company representatives discussed the work already completed, emerging problems, and possible solutions.
Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of investors' contributions to the development of the energy sector and called for responsible compliance with the terms of previously signed agreements.
Considering the high demand for electricity in the country, he noted the government's readiness for ongoing cooperation with businesses interested in implementing energy projects.
