China and Kyrgyzstan Trade Sets New Record — $27.2 Billion
Trade relations between China and Kyrgyzstan have reached a new historical high of 27.2 billion dollars. This was reported by the Chinese ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Liu Jiangping, noting the rapid development of commercial ties between the two countries.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan ranks second among China's largest trading partners in Central Asia, with the total trade volume accounting for about 25% of China's total trade with the countries of the region.
In 2025, trade volume between the two countries increased by 20% compared to the previous year, setting a new record. This also means that the growth rates are the highest in Central Asia, with imports from Kyrgyzstan increasing by 86%, positively impacting the trade balance.
Chinese and Kyrgyz trade and economic agencies are actively working on implementing agreements reached by the leaders of both countries. In particular, negotiations are being accelerated on signing the Agreement on Trade in Services and Investments, which is expected to create a more sustainable institutional framework for expanding bilateral cooperation.
Liu Jiangping also emphasized that at this new stage of development, China is ready to move forward together with Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian states, strengthening cooperation in accordance with China's Fifteenth Five-Year Plan and the development strategies of its partners. This should contribute to the realization of practical results achieved at the summits in this format.
