The representative of the customs service of Kyrgyzstan will check carriers at the border with the Russian Federation.
Saliev noted that the officer will be included in the mobile group responsible for checking freight carriers. This decision was made in cooperation with the Russian customs authorities.
“A working algorithm for this officer has already been developed and is currently under review by the Russian side. He will interact with his Russian colleagues to promptly resolve any issues related to documents for our entrepreneurs. The Russian side has given preliminary consent, but an official response has not yet been received,” the official added.
It is worth noting that Russia is strengthening control over the import of goods to avoid "gray imports." Starting in 2026, the Federal Customs Service of Russia will introduce new measures to combat gray imports of goods within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
One of the main innovations will be the mandatory official confirmation from the Russian buyer, who is a tax resident of the Russian Federation. Without such confirmation, goods will not be able to be processed and imported into the territory of Russia.
