Kyrgyzstan and Russia are seeking ways to resolve the issues of tailors at customs, - GTS

At the meeting of the "Ala-Too" deputy group held on January 16, deputy Jumabek Salymbekov drew attention to issues related to cooperation with the customs service of Russia in the context of problems faced by tailors.

In response, the chairman of the State Customs Service, Almaz Saliev, reported that interaction with Russian colleagues is taking place actively. According to him, 2-3 online meetings have already been held, a liaison officer from Kyrgyzstan has been appointed, and a mobile group is functioning at the border.

Saliev added that a special algorithm has been developed for the quick resolution of problems arising for entrepreneurs at the border due to discrepancies in documents. Currently, this algorithm is under review by the Russian side, and no official response has been received so far.

In addition, the State Customs Service has sent a request to Russia to find out the reasons why citizens and businessmen of Kyrgyzstan are being detained at the border.
According to Saliev, in some cases, difficulties arise due to an insufficient package of documents from freight carriers.
