In Kyrgyzstan, farmers are strongly advised to unite into cooperatives for the effective implementation of crop rotation on small plots of land. This was stated on the radio by Turat Idirisov, head of the Department of Crop Production, Horticulture, and Cooperation of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

According to Idirisov, adhering to crop rotation on small areas is a challenging task, which has already negatively affected the yields of some crops. For example, in the Talas region, local farmers have been growing beans for several years without crop rotation, aiming to make a profit, which ultimately impacted the results of their labor.

The Ministry suggests replacing beans and other technical crops with alternatives such as corn, barley, and wheat to restore soil fertility. Joining cooperatives would allow farmers to conduct crop rotation on larger areas.

Idirisov also noted that to support cooperation, the government provides cooperatives with priority access to land resources of the State Property Fund, which are primarily leased to cooperatives and seed-growing, breeding farms.

Additionally, cooperatives can count on preferential financing. Producer associations have the opportunity to obtain loans at 6% per annum through state banks for the purchase of necessary machinery and equipment.

According to the ministry's data, this year 68 new agricultural cooperatives have been registered in the country. Next year, it is planned to create another 70–80 cooperatives, which, after official registration with the Ministry of Justice, will be able to obtain loans and additional land plots.
