Ministry of Agriculture: Farmers Should Conserve Water
The Ministry Warned of Potential Water Resource Shortages
Farmers received a warning from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry about a possible shortage of irrigation water during the 2026 growing season.
According to the agency's information, climate change and a decrease in precipitation may lead to water shortages in several regions of the country. In this regard, farmers are advised to prepare in advance and use the available water resources rationally.
The ministry emphasized the importance of applying technologies that promote water conservation, such as drip and sprinkler irrigation. They also recommend choosing agricultural crops that require less moisture and using drought-resistant seeds.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Agriculture assured that water distribution during the irrigation period will be carried out fairly and balanced.
