The growth of reserves has been made possible thanks to the resources of tailings storage facilities

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, in 2024, gold reserves at "Kumtor" increased by 147.4 tons, indicating positive development in Kyrgyzstan's mining sector in 2025.

In addition, in 2025, the resources of the mine's tailings storage facilities were recorded at the state level, amounting to 121 tons of gold and 225 tons of silver. The tailings processing project, planned for 17 years, is expected to extend the lifespan of the deposit, creating new jobs and increasing revenues to the state budget.

Moreover, the coal industry is also showing positive dynamics. During the specified period, more than 30 licenses were issued, and over 20 new coal sites were put into operation, contributing to strengthening the country's energy security, especially during the winter period.
