The volume of water in the Toktogul Reservoir has dropped to 9.1 billion cubic meters
This year in Kyrgyzstan, as in most Central Asian countries, there is a decrease in water resources. This information was announced at a government meeting.
As of today, the volume of water in the Toktogul reservoir is 9.102 billion cubic meters, which is 1.631 billion cubic meters less compared to the same period in 2025.
Experts express concern that the water shortage may negatively affect electricity production. Therefore, the necessity of strict adherence to established electricity consumption norms was emphasized. However, analysis shows that in practice, compliance with these norms faces certain difficulties.
