What Kyrgyzstan and Iran Trade
The main imports from Iran included paints and varnishes based on synthetic polymers (worth $3.7 million), equipment for processing mineral materials ($3.4 million), and fruits ($3.3 million). In turn, Kyrgyzstan mainly exported dried legumes (peas, lentils, beans, chickpeas, and others) worth $20.6 million and cotton fiber worth $9 million.
It is worth noting that on January 12, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that "any business related to the Islamic Republic of Iran will be subject to a 25% tariff on all commercial transactions with the U.S.".
