According to Anadolu Agency, Kalın emphasized that the conflict could lead to significant consequences, including not only the potential destruction of Iran's nuclear facilities but also the creation of conditions for long-term enmity between the main ethnic groups in the region, such as Turks, Kurds, Arabs, and Persians.

He also noted that Turkey does not intend to participate in fueling the conflict. The head of intelligence added that the current tension, caused by a number of interconnected events, has already affected not only Iran but the entire Persian Gulf region.

Kalın characterized the attacks on Iran as misguided, noting that assaults on Gulf countries do not contribute to resolving the situation. He pointed to Israel as the main instigator of the conflict, claiming that this state has repeatedly blocked efforts to establish dialogue and negotiations.

He also assured that Turkey will continue its efforts to cease hostilities, and after the conflict ends, the region will need to quickly recover from the consequences of the war.

The escalation of military actions between the U.S., Israel, and Iran has been ongoing for about a month, and the hostilities also involve Gulf countries, creating an extremely tense situation in key maritime routes of the region.
