In Bishkek, a driver hit a patrol officer after being stopped for a document check

A criminal case has been initiated in Bishkek in connection with an attack on a police officer, as reported in a press release from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Events unfolded on March 27, 2026, around 3:00 PM, when officers stopped a vehicle for a document check. The driver, however, not only refused to present his documents but also exhibited aggressive behavior, showing no respect for the inspector.

During the conflict, the man struck the patrol officer several times in the chest and eye, after which he was detained and taken to the Internal Affairs Department of the Pervomaisky District of the capital.

An investigation is currently underway, and a criminal case has been opened under Article 280 "Hooliganism" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. After the investigative activities are completed, a decision will be made regarding the further legal assessment of the case, and the materials will be sent to court.
