
In the vicinity of the village of Karauyltobe, local residents stumbled upon a drone, which, according to Kazinform, was confirmed by the press service of the regional police.
According to a statement from law enforcement, an investigation has been initiated in the Akzhaik district regarding the discovery of "objects resembling the wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle."
“The object was found outside the settlement. Currently, all circumstances of the incident are being clarified,” the police press service reported.
From February to March 2025, there were also recorded instances of unmanned aerial vehicles being discovered in various districts of the West Kazakhstan region. A total of four unidentified UAVs were reported. For instance, on February 18, a drone was found in the territory of the village of Uyaly in the Bokeyordinsky district. In the Taskalin district, another drone measuring 300 cm fell on March 18, which was found intact and without visible damage. On March 25 and 26, fragments of a UAV were discovered in the Zhanibek district.
At that time, the Ministry of Defense explained that over 90% of the found drones in the territory of the West Kazakhstan region are within the testing range of the 926th Main Flight Test Center of the Russian Federation, which uses this space for its tests.
