On the evening of March 24, Russia carried out a large-scale attack, deploying hundreds of unmanned aerial vehicles, targeting the western regions of Ukraine, including Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Vinnytsia oblasts.
According to information released by the Air Forces of Ukraine, this raid became one of the most massive in history — a total of 556 drones were launched during the operation. Of these, 541 drones were neutralized, while hits were recorded 15 times.

The head of the Lviv regional military administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported that at least 19 people were injured as a result of the strike. However, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi cited a higher figure — 22 injured. The strike caused damage to a residential building in the Sykhiv area.

Additionally, a cultural monument was damaged — the ensemble of the Bernardine Monastery, which is part of the historic center of Lviv and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called on UNESCO Director-General Khaled al-Anani for an immediate and decisive response to this crime.

Territories in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast were also attacked. In the center of Ivano-Frankivsk, according to the head of the regional military administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk, two people were killed, while Mayor Ruslan Martsynkiv added that four people were injured, and about ten residential buildings were damaged.

In Vinnytsia oblast, the consequences of the attack were also recorded: one person was killed, and another 13 were injured, according to regional administration data.
