During the conversation, both presidents exchanged warm congratulations on the holidays of Oraza Ait and Nauryz. Erdogan congratulated Tokayev on the successful conduct of the referendum and the adoption of a new Constitution in Kazakhstan.
The Turkish president emphasized that such achievements were made possible thanks to Tokayev's wise policies. He expressed confidence that the new fundamental law would create a strong impetus for further development of Kazakhstan and strengthen its positions both domestically and internationally.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked Turkey for the active participation of observers in the referendum, which underscores the fraternal relations between the two countries. Erdogan also noted the importance of his upcoming state visit to Kazakhstan, scheduled for May 14, where a meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council will take place, as well as an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
The President of Kazakhstan agreed with Erdogan on the significance of the upcoming negotiations in Astana for strengthening bilateral strategic partnership and expressed hope for the successful conduct of the summit of Turkic-speaking countries in Turkestan. He added that the Kazakh people would gladly welcome Erdogan. In response, the President of Turkey invited Tokayev to participate in the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya in April, which the Kazakh president gladly accepted.
