The tragedy occurred in southern Peru, on the Arequipa - Puno highway, where 13 people died as a result of a collision between a minibus and a truck. This information was published by the Report agency, citing data from the Peruvian publication Diario Correo and local police.
The road incident took place at the 178th kilometer of the road, in the area of San Antonio de Chuca, which belongs to the Arequipa department.
According to local media reports, 11 of the deceased died at the scene, while two others, who were injured, did not survive until they reached the hospital and died on the way. Currently, the police department of Arequipa, together with the prosecutor's office, is investigating the causes and circumstances of the accident.
