As reported by The Washington Post, representatives from Qatar and Oman have begun active contacts with Iran regarding the cessation of hostilities. These efforts have intensified after realizing that pressure from the U.S. and Israel is not leading to a swift collapse of the Iranian government.

The newspaper reports that Iran has expressed a willingness to discuss options for de-escalation, but only on the condition that Washington and Tel Aviv cease their attacks first.

Previously, Axios reported that discussions have also begun in the U.S. regarding possible ways to resolve the conflict. According to a source, Iran has indicated through intermediaries its readiness for dialogue, although it does not publicly confirm the existence of direct negotiations with the American side. Among the intermediaries, according to Axios, are regional players as well.

At the same time, hostilities have continued since February 28, and both sides continue to exchange strikes, affecting not only Iran and Israel but also the infrastructure of the Gulf countries.
