On March 22, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif announced that the government has managed to steer the economy towards sustainable growth despite existing difficulties, as reported by the Associated Press of Pakistan.
In his speech on the occasion of Pakistan Day, celebrated on March 23, he noted that the country's economy is showing positive trends. "The decrease in inflation, increased investor confidence, and other favorable indicators confirm that we are moving in the right direction," he emphasized.
According to Sharif, these achievements have been made possible due to "bold reforms, prudent policies, and the people's faith in their abilities and the future of the country."
He also pointed out that the nation has demonstrated "exceptional resilience and determination" since its founding.
"From a young state to a nuclear power - our journey reflects steadfastness and iron will. This movement towards a bright future continues today," added the Prime Minister.
Sharif called for the development of the country in accordance with the vision of its founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah, emphasizing the need for a unified national strategy and cohesion.
Additionally, he highlighted the significance of the armed forces in ensuring the country's security.
"Our armed forces and law enforcement agencies protect the freedom and sovereignty of Pakistan with high professionalism and patriotism," he stated.
The Prime Minister also noted that Pakistan advocates for global peace, but sustainable resolution in South Asia is impossible without addressing the Jammu and Kashmir issue.
"We will continue to provide moral, political, and diplomatic support to our brothers and sisters in the region," he emphasized.
Sharif expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and concern over the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Islamabad, he said, adheres to a balanced and active diplomacy aimed at dialogue and mutual respect.
"We are confident that negotiations are the only way to lasting peace," noted the Prime Minister.
In conclusion, he stressed that the country has immense potential for further development.
When a united and determined nation strives for a common goal, there are no insurmountable obstacles."With constant determination, hard work, and collective efforts, we will continue to build a strong, prosperous, and progressive Pakistan," he added.
