Meirzhan Turebaev's Instagram page is active again after a long hiatus. As reported by Tengrinews.kz, he has published several new posts that quickly caught the attention of his followers.

In one of his messages, the comedian noted that he found inner freedom after losing it in real life, describing this period as a "vivid journey of the soul." He also shared family photos.

Followers began to actively congratulate him on his release in the comments. Later, representatives of the Committee of the Penal Enforcement System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the information that Turebaev was released after serving his full sentence as imposed by the court.

Recall that according to the verdict from June 23, 2023, Meirzhan Turebaev and Meirhan Sherniyazov were found guilty of organizing a financial pyramid, and each received a five-year prison sentence.

Interestingly, Sherniyazov was released on July 3, 2025, while Turebaev continued to serve his sentence until January 2026.

Previously, the Almaty City Court explained that the differences in release dates are related to the fact that each of the convicted had different start dates for their sentences and accounting for the time spent in custody.

Sherniyazov's sentence began on April 19, 2022, and one day of his detention before the trial was counted as two days of imprisonment. In contrast, for Turebaev, the sentence was counted from February 1, 2024. He twice requested a reduction of his sentence, but both times was denied.
