Iran launched a series of strikes on southern Israel following an attack on a facility in Natanz
According to Israeli sources, one of the missiles hit a residential area in Arad, resulting in damage to homes and over a hundred casualties. The Jerusalem Post reported that more than 100 people were injured in Arad and Dimona, with the strike specifically targeting a residential neighborhood.
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that a ballistic missile did indeed fall and that the attempt to intercept it was unsuccessful. As noted by Reuters, Israeli military officials acknowledged that some Iranian missiles had not been intercepted in recent days.
Previously, Iran had already struck the Dimona region, which houses one of Israel's main nuclear facilities. According to AP and Reuters, these attacks also resulted in significant destruction and numerous casualties.
Israeli media added that after intercepting several missiles, their debris fell in various areas, damaging both residential and public buildings. At the same time, information regarding the number of casualties and the extent of the destruction is still being clarified.
