Iran launched ballistic missiles at a military base in the Indian Ocean

According to reports from American news agencies such as CNN and The Wall Street Journal, two ballistic missiles were launched, but neither reached its target.

Diego Garcia is located approximately 3,800 kilometers from Iran. CNN reports that this is Iran's first attempt to use missiles with such range since the beginning of the conflict. Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal emphasizes that Iranian authorities had previously stated the maximum range of their missiles is 2,000 kilometers.

The base at Diego Garcia, located in the Chagos Archipelago, was established in the 1970s and has been actively used by aviation during the war with Iran.
