According to information published by Politico, Russia has approached the United States with a proposal to cease the exchange of intelligence data with Iran, including information about military facilities in the Middle East, if Washington also halts its support for Ukraine. This proposal was conveyed by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation, Kirill Dmitriev, during a meeting in Miami, which included U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. However, it is claimed that the American side rejected this proposal.

Kirill Dmitriev later characterized the information about the proposal as fake. Meanwhile, the White House preferred not to comment on the situation.

The Financial Times reported that such a proposal in itself raised concerns among European diplomats, who viewed it as an attempt to link the conflict in Ukraine with events in the Middle East, thereby creating additional pressure on U.S. allies in Europe. One source from the publication described this idea as outrageous.

Amid the conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran, there have also been reports that Russia has increased its support for Tehran. Previously, according to The Wall Street Journal, Moscow allegedly provided Iran with satellite images and drone technology; however, the Kremlin denied these claims, calling them fake.

Additionally, Axios reported that Donald Trump rejected another proposal from Vladimir Putin regarding the transfer of enriched uranium from Iran to Russia.
