The Iranian Foreign Minister stated that Tehran will not agree to a ceasefire.
According to him, Iran insists that only a full cessation of the conflict can be an acceptable solution, and they do not intend to back down in their confrontation with the United States and Israel. Araghchi also noted that Iran's political system will maintain its resilience even in the face of the loss of high-ranking officials.
Furthermore, the minister stated Iran's readiness to allow Japanese vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz after consultations with Japan. According to Reuters, over 90% of Japan's oil imports come from Middle Eastern countries, and the situation in this region is critical for the global energy balance.
In the context of the ongoing conflict, the Strait of Hormuz remains one of the most tense areas. Meanwhile, Japan is not currently planning to send military ships to protect its vessels, despite calls from the United States.
