
During the meeting, Batsumberel noted that Mongolia and Hungary have long-standing and friendly relations that have developed over 76 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties. He also highlighted the active interaction between the parliamentary groups of the two countries. The deputy mentioned recent high-profile exchanges, such as the visit of the Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia, Zandanshatar Gombojav (currently the Prime Minister), in 2024 and the visit of the Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, Laszlo Kover, in 2023, which significantly contributed to deepening inter-parliamentary relations.
Lajos Olah, the Deputy Speaker, noted that the meeting was more friendly than formal. He emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation in the context of the changing global geopolitical and environmental situation, especially in the areas of trade and investment.

Both sides emphasized that active cooperation between the parliaments is a key factor for expanding bilateral relations and promoting interaction between various sectors. They discussed the prospects for cooperation in the fields of science, culture, economy, and trade.
