Mongolia issued GATES a certificate for the repair of Boeing aircraft engines

GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES) is strengthening its position in the Asia-Pacific region by obtaining certification in Mongolia, reports MiddleAsianNews.

GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES), a subsidiary of GA Telesis specializing in the repair and maintenance of aircraft engines, announced that it has received a certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia (AAM). This document allows for the overhaul of CFM56 engines for local airlines.

This achievement is accompanied by a new agreement with MIAT Mongolian Airlines, which includes comprehensive technical support and maintenance for CFM56-7B engines. The certification strengthens GATES's position in the growing aviation market of the Asia-Pacific region, opening new opportunities for supporting operators.

“The CAAM certificate is a significant step in enhancing our support for operators in Mongolia and more broadly in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Gunnar Mar Sigurfinsson, President of GATES. “We are pleased to collaborate with MIAT Mongolian Airlines and look forward to providing reliable maintenance and repair solutions that will help ensure their long-term success.”

With the expansion of international approvals, which now include 16 certificates of compliance worldwide, 10 of which are in Asia, and thanks to high technical expertise, GATES continues to develop its capabilities in providing high-quality aircraft engine overhaul solutions for airlines around the world.
