On March 17, 2025, the new airline Chingis Airlines Unity, founded with the support of Nomin Holding, welcomed its first aircraft, which arrived from Morocco.
With this goal, Chingis Airlines Unity aims to increase the accessibility of domestic air travel and bridge the development gap between urban and rural areas. The airline, which begins operations with a modern 70-seat turboprop aircraft ATR 72-600, has already completed preparations for charter flights on domestic routes.
The airline plans to launch regular flights to the cities of Dalanzadgad, Khovd, and Murun in the second quarter of 2026. Furthermore, Chingis Airlines Unity hopes to expand its presence on international routes and aims to establish a competitive position in the regional aviation market.
Currently, there are about five domestic and 20 international airlines operating in Mongolia's civil aviation; however, regular domestic flights are currently only operated by MIAT Mongolian Airlines.
