Statistics show that in the fourth quarter of 2025, the average nominal salary in the country increased by 6% compared to the previous quarter, amounting to ₮2 million 877.8 thousand. The median salary at that time was ₮2 million 482.2 thousand (about $700), while the average basic salary was ₮2 million 572.9 thousand (approximately $725).
The highest earnings are observed in the mining sector, where the average monthly salary is ₮5.4 million (over $1500), which is 86.9% higher than the national average. At the same time, workers in the hotel and restaurant business receive the lowest incomes, amounting to ₮1.9 million (about $535), which is 34.9% lower than the average salary in the country.
