Minister Boris Pistorius stated that Germany does not intend to participate in the conflict and continues to believe in the possibility of a diplomatic resolution to the situation. He also noted that Germany bears responsibility for the security of NATO's eastern flank and the Atlantic, emphasizing that the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz is not a war initiated by the Federal Republic of Germany.

According to Reuters, other U.S. allies, such as Japan, Australia, Italy, and Greece, have also not expressed a willingness to support this initiative. The United Kingdom, for its part, confirmed that it does not intend to engage in a broader conflict but is ready to discuss options for joint efforts to ensure security in the strait.

Earlier, Donald Trump called on countries dependent on oil and gas supplies through the Strait of Hormuz to send their naval forces to support American troops. Among the countries mentioned were China, the United Kingdom, Japan, France, and South Korea.

Amid rising tensions in the region, the price of oil has exceeded $100 per barrel, and the Strait of Hormuz has become a key focus of international discussions on energy security.
