Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also thanked the employees of government agencies, airlines, and everyone involved in the evacuation of compatriots. He noted that Kazakhstan always supports its citizens, regardless of circumstances and their location. The President reminded that during the pandemic, the state organized special flights to bring thousands of Kazakhs back from different corners of the world, and similar actions were taken in other critical situations abroad.
Tokayev emphasized that in case of emergencies within the country, the state is also always ready to assist those in need. The principle of "We do not abandon our own" is fundamental to state policy, not just a populist slogan.
The President added that this principle is reflected in the new draft Constitution, which clearly states: "Kazakhstan guarantees its citizens protection beyond its borders in accordance with the law." He emphasized that all Kazakhs should know: holders of the turquoise passport are always under the protection of the state, regardless of their location.
Furthermore, Tokayev noted that the strength of our passport is determined by the power of the state, the energy of the people, and the ability to adapt to modern progressive ideas.
