In a new step towards ensuring children's safety, WhatsApp has announced the creation of special accounts for users under 13 years old with limited functionality, reports Kazinform, citing DW.
These profiles will allow children to send only text messages and make calls. Parents or guardians will have full control over the account settings, determining who can communicate with the child and which groups they can be added to, as stated in the company's official announcement.
There will also be an option for parents to review message requests from unknown contacts and manage privacy settings.
