TURKPA and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation signed a memorandum of cooperation

The memorandum was signed as a result of a meeting between the president of the Foundation, Aktyoty Raimkulova, and the Secretary General of TURKPA, Ramil Hasan. During this meeting, Raimkulova congratulated Hasan on his re-election as Secretary General and shared information about the current initiatives of the foundation within the framework of Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship.

The Secretary General, in turn, spoke about the current activities of the assembly, as well as the preparations for international observation of the constitutional referendum in Kazakhstan, scheduled for March 15, 2026. He noted that observers from TURKPA would participate in monitoring the voting.

Hasan emphasized that the draft of the new Constitution of Kazakhstan includes important changes to the institutional structure of the country and is significant not only for Kazakhstan but for the entire Turkic world.

During the discussion, the possibilities for joint work on the development of model laws in the field of cultural heritage within the framework of the permanent commission of TURKPA were also considered. Hasan stressed that the assembly plays a significant role as a legislative platform for Turkic cooperation and expressed readiness to support joint initiatives.

The participants of the meeting noted the strategic importance of creating an effective legislative framework to enhance cooperation between Turkic states.

Raimkulova invited the TURKPA delegation to participate in the Strategic Conference and technical seminar dedicated to Turkic cultural heritage and the fight against the illegal trafficking of cultural values, which will be held in April in Gaziantep, Turkey.

According to the signed memorandum, the parties intend to implement joint initiatives aimed at strengthening cultural and political relations between Turkic states and promoting Turkic cultural heritage on the international stage.
