In his statement on March 10, al-Ansari noted that Qatar has been actively warning the global community since 2023 about the potential consequences of escalating conflict with Iran. He emphasized that the Middle East is effectively plunged into a regional war that needs to be stopped.

According to him, for any negotiations on a diplomatic resolution to begin, Iran must cease its attacks. Al-Ansari accused Tehran of striking civilian infrastructure both in the Gulf countries and beyond, which could lead to a humanitarian disaster.

The Foreign Ministry representative added that any attack on Qatar would provoke an appropriate response. He expressed hope that after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's apologies to neighbors, Tehran would cease its actions; however, this did not happen.

Al-Ansari also refused to discuss the appointment of a new Supreme Leader of Iran, focusing instead on protecting Qatar from missile threats. Earlier, Iran stated that its actions are directed solely against U.S. interests in the Gulf, emphasizing that any support from Washington would be regarded as a hostile act.

In response, Qatar's Foreign Ministry confirmed that its strategic partnership with the U.S. and other security allies remains unchanged. Al-Ansari noted that the Patriot systems, working in conjunction with American and other international partners, play a key role in defense and deterrence against threats.
