A 35-year-old woman, Ivana Ortiz, is facing ten charges, including the use of a semi-automatic rifle and shooting at residential buildings, according to NBC News. The court has set her bail at $1.85 million. If found guilty, she could face life imprisonment.
The shooting occurred on Sunday in the Beverly Crest area of Los Angeles. Ivana Ortiz, driving a white Tesla, opened fire on the house where Rihanna lives with rapper A$AP Rocky and three children. At the time of the incident, not only family members but also staff were present in the house. Bullets struck the walls of the singer's home, a trailer in the yard, and neighboring buildings. After the shooting, the woman fled the scene but was apprehended half an hour later. Shell casings, a wig, an AR-15 rifle, and spare ammunition were found in her vehicle. Fortunately, no one in the targeted houses was injured.
