
Due to the snowfall, the city administration reported that municipal services began their work in an intensified mode immediately after the onset of precipitation. This is done to prevent the formation of ice and ensure safe movement on the streets. Currently, 75 operational teams are working on the streets of Almaty, consisting of 2,710 road workers and 1,225 units of special equipment. Specialists are clearing roads, sidewalks, bus stops, overpasses, stairs, and ramps of snow and ice using anti-icing materials.
Forecasters predict that precipitation will cease on March 11, and the air temperature will fluctuate between -6 to -8°C, with further decreases expected.
