The strike was carried out on the "Kremniy El" factory, which, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, produces control systems for various types of Russian missiles. On the evening of March 10, he reported that he had been informed about the successful operation by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
As noted by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, British Storm Shadow missiles were used for the attack. The "Kremniy El" factory plays a significant role in the production chain of precision weapons, specializing in the creation of semiconductors and integrated circuits, which are key components for the Iskander missiles. According to preliminary data, the factory's production facilities sustained significant damage.
The Governor of Bryansk Region, Alexander Bogomaz, confirmed information about six fatalities and 37 injuries, who were hospitalized in the regional hospital. He reported this on his Telegram channel.
At the scene, work is being carried out to eliminate the consequences and evacuate citizens, as indicated by Dmitry Yenin, head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Bryansk Region. Earlier, Bogomaz reported smoke in the Soviet district of Bryansk and urged residents to stay indoors with closed windows. However, he did not specify the exact name of the enterprise that was affected.
Reports of the missile strike on the "Kremniy El" factory came from both Russian and Ukrainian sources. This enterprise is one of the key producers of microelectronics used in missile systems and drones. Telegram channels Astra and Exilenova+ indicated that the factory produces electronic components for systems such as the Pantsir air defense system, Iskander, Topol-M, Bulava, as well as the S-300 and S-400 air defense systems.
It is also reported that after the announcement of a missile threat in Bryansk, about 10 explosions were heard, and a large cloud of smoke rose over the factory.
