However, according to a new letter from the Ministry of Transport, the restrictions on the type of passengers and their citizenship have been lifted.
In connection with the upcoming end of the Umrah season, airlines and airports have been instructed to ensure that all pilgrims leave the country before the start of the Hajj season 2026 in accordance with the legislation of the kingdom.
Uzbekistan Airports are required to check for return flight tickets for passengers flying to Saudi Arabia. Lists of passengers without return tickets must be compiled daily and sent to the headquarters of the "Uzaviasiya" agency.
Airlines have been reminded that the transportation of pilgrims for Umrah must be carried out in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution No. 668 dated October 12, 2024, which regulates the organization of pilgrimage trips.
It is important that tour operators' contracts include a clause about issuing each passenger a separate round-trip ticket, regardless of the airlines.
During the flight, passengers will receive reminders through the notification system that they need to obtain tickets for the flight, hotel vouchers, transfers, meals, and insurance policies from the tour operators.
It is recommended that passengers maintain contact with their tour operators and arrive at the airport on time, according to the information on their return flight tickets.
The "Uzaviasiya" agency must monitor information about passengers departing from Saudi Arabia without return tickets and, if necessary, send data to the Committee for Religious Affairs and other competent authorities. It should be noted that tickets may be issued by different airlines.
The Ministry of Transport will closely monitor the situation in the region and, if necessary, provide additional instructions in cooperation with the government.
