Changes in the flight schedule at Astana airport are due to weather conditions and operational circumstances, as reported by the press service of the institution.
Currently, there are delays for 11 flights arriving from Almaty, Kostanay, Shymkent, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Uralsk, Kyzylorda, Bishkek, and Omsk. Of these, two flights are delayed due to technical reasons from the airlines, and three due to aircraft replacements.
“For the other flights, the reason for the delay is the late arrival of the aircraft,” the airport clarified.
Regarding departures, nine flights to Shymkent, Petropavlovsk, Semey, Almaty, and Omsk are also delayed. Of these, two are delayed due to adverse weather conditions in Astana, while the others are due to the late arrival of the aircraft.
In addition, cancellations have been recorded: three incoming flights and eight outgoing flights have been canceled due to adverse weather conditions in Astana,” the press service added.
On Tuesday, variable cloudiness, snow, blizzards, and fog are expected in Astana. The wind will be northwest at a speed of 9–14 m/s, with gusts up to 20 m/s, and during the day in some places up to 23 m/s.
