On March 9, a B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber was spotted at RAF Fairford in the UK. Footage of its arrival is already available.

This event occurs against the backdrop of escalating conflict surrounding Iran and an increase in American military forces in the region. Previously, B-1B bombers of the U.S. Air Force had already been recorded at this base.

According to Sky News, the B-52 was sent to the UK after London granted permission for the use of its bases for operations that British authorities qualify as defensive.

It is worth noting that U.S. President Donald Trump had previously criticized the UK regarding its stance on the use of its bases for operations against Iran.
