
A meteorite, which was charred, fell on the roof of a residential building in Koblenz, in the Güls district, around 7:00 PM. According to local police, there were no injuries reported. The ZDF Heute publication states that the meteorite pierced the roof and ended up in a bedroom, but no one was there at the time.
According to information provided by a police representative, meteorite falls were also recorded in other locations, including the Hunsrück and Eifel regions, where roofs of houses were also damaged. The Kaiserslautern police noted that witnesses saw "fire flashes" in the sky, raising concerns that it could be a rocket; however, police assured that there were no signs of an incident posing a security threat.
