More than 300 people returned to Tajikistan from the UAE on March 8

On March 8, two flights brought more than 300 people back to their homeland. In the morning, a charter flight from Dubai landed in Dushanbe, carrying 130 Tajiks, and later the airline "Somon Air" brought another 180 people.

According to information provided to "Asia-Plus" by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, this charter was organized with the support of the country's embassy in the UAE, the local administration, and the airline Fly Dubai.

The second flight operated by "Somon Air" delivered 178 passengers, including foreigners. The plane took off from Al Maktoum Airport in Dubai and landed in Dushanbe around 16:00, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, about 550 people returned to Tajikistan from Abu Dhabi and Dubai, taking advantage of charter flights from the airlines "Somon Air" and Fly Dubai.

Earlier, Tajik authorities instructed "Somon Air" to organize charter flights for the evacuation of citizens from Middle Eastern countries.
The message also stated that citizens wishing to return to their homeland can contact the diplomatic representations and consulates of the Republic of Tajikistan for additional information and registration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs published contact numbers for the airline "Somon Air," as well as for the diplomatic and consular institutions of Tajikistan:
